Are the included bolts shorter than the OEM bolts? If so, by how much?

I don't have the stock bolts any longer to compare them to.

I will be using the ARP as I have CNC ported heads and the included bolts protrude well into the runners.

Gotcha. If they're protruding into the ports, then they are likely stock length. You can just trim 1/4 inch off the end of the intake bolt with a dremel, then smooth out the cut end with a brush or chase the threads with a die. The exhaust bolt should not be protruding into the port. Make sure you use some sealant on the intake bolt threads, or oil will seep past the threads into the intake.

I have talked to two guys who have run them for a while without problems. I sent mine back. I have the Comp Cams trunion upgrades.

While they were in a sealed package, many of the rockers will filled with varying degrees of grit of some kind. There was no lock ring for positive bearing retention and several of the ones that I received appeared to have been installed. All of these things just shook my confidence. They may be totally fine, I just chose to go in a different direction.

Installed these with LSL lobes. So far so good. I did have to clean grit out of the bearings and the bolts they came with didn't work. They seemed solid and smooth once cleaned out and lubed...

I don't know about having to clean the the "grit" and crap out of them. Maybe they are good once cleaned but, I'm not feeling it. Are they still availible?

We were receiving these in bulk from the manufacturer.. we were really not aware of them not being " clean" So have since been washing them and oiling
the trunions and inspecting them .. Just like you would for an engine assembly..

As far as a lock ring... there is no need for one... the trunion
and bearings are captured. can not fall out like stockers..

I have 2 sets on my own engines...

Still have more available...

thanks for the interest....

Carshopinc.com:

Is there a "kit" available to upgrade stock rockers with these captured bearings...?

( i.e. I want just the trunnion and bearing, not the whole rocker, in a set of 16 )

So has anyone run these for any length of time? I have a set that I picked up for my project that stalled out, now I'm looking to get back on it this winter. Are they reliable?
