Most vendors outsource their cams anyway, most are comp.

TSP only holds the stock bottom end LS1 record. Hardly crap.

first let me say that i really enjoy my tsp torquer v2, but for a daily driver 80 miles a day i might go with a smaller cam. maybe a 224r ground on 112. itll save you some gas. lol.

I have the TSP MS3 package with hardened pushrods and double valve springs...stock heads with and LS6 intake and my 98 Z28 is a beast... TSP is definately on top of their game...But you get what you order so i dnt see how TSP is to blame for anything..You have to custom order your parts... so its actually exactly what u want everytime.

That guy is a moron and I would have someone else tune my car,a guy that will tell you a great package is junk just so he could sell his kit is shady imo,I have bought almost all my stuff threw tsp there prices are always the best and there stuff is top notch, and any time I had a question or needed some helpful advice I know I can always call them ,even if I didn't buy the part from them, they would still take there time to help me out, when I was trying to pick a cam I called them at least 3 times and they talked with me for over an hour about what would be best,I got the ms4 cam kit,and I could not be more happy with the cam and the kit, that guy wouldn't be touching my car ,that's just real shady imho

The cams that TSP sells are ground by Competion Cams. So I guess your asking does Comp Cams have a problem? When they do they Comp Cams will stand behind their product and replace any defective cam that got sent out defective. As far as TSP goes they built the longblock I'm running now and it has been run hard for 2 years now with out any problems. Its in a full weight Camaro with a 300+ pound driver running 11.28s@119mph thats daily driven to work as long as the weather permits. TSP also put their cams and heads combinations on their Dyno and posted up the results for the world to see. And people who sell junk usually don't do too much advertising do they? Now If you want some junk go buy you one of them reground EBAY specials.

LOL! This is a pretty funny post!

It never surprises me when someone makes crazy statements to make their products look better.

Here's the deal we do complete engine dyno testing on the camshafts combinations we put together & sell. I don't think anyone else on all of ls1tech does anything near the testing we do on LS engines building camshafts/cylinder head combos..

I don't mean to be negative but every TSP GM ported head has FACTORY GM guides in them. Every casting is brand new. They absolutely do NOT have different length guides in them. If the cam had a bad core, we could have more than likely got it replaced with Comp. A simple phone call would have more than likely got it resolved.

Some people do not want to call the vendor after something goes bad. They just will chunk the cam and give the company they bought it from a bad name. Regardless of who did the grind.

I did call about the cam, that was roughly six months ago, it was caught when the 346 was swapped for a 383 and the only other damage done was to the lifters obviosly. The heads were just pulled yesterday by the shop. I am heading down there this afternoon to take a look and get some pictures. This issue was caught b/c I was just going to have the springs changed out. When the valve covers were pulled, thats when the rocker/valve wear was discovered. When the heads were pulled, thats when the guide lenght was discovered. I ended up going with a new set of TEA TFS b/c the machine work would cost a fortune to install new guides in the heads and I needed rockers anyway. I agree, the heads SHOULD have GM guides in them and they all SHOULD be the same lenght. Like I said, I will have pics very soon.

Yes I live in eastern NC, and I don't know if I should say his name or not but his shop is in Vanceboro and his first name is William. I actually talked to someone at tsp today and he took plenty of time to answer all my questions and was helpful and sold me on a 228r.
