Help me pick a Cam for a Big Bore + ?'s
)The Heads will have 2.08 intake valves, 1.60 exhaust valves with Brodex Seats and 977 springs. Im upgrading to the Comp R lifters for the 977 springs. I currently have not decided what rocker arms to run as i have heard that valve lash becomes an issue. I really dont even know what valve lash is. Is a rocker upgrade necessary?
The block will be a stock polished crank with all the rotating goodies to reach the 387 c.i. ALL BORE specs.
Bolt ons include a Full Hooker exhaust, ASP pulley, TSP 85mm lid with SLP 85mm Maf, Absolute Speed stage 2 ported LS6 intake, Absolute Speed 80mm Throttle body, 42# injectors with good plugs and LS1edit Tune.
Im looking for a driveable set up as i will be driving my car 95% percent of the time and racing the other 5%.
I was considering the G5X 3 Cam as well as the TSP 231/237 Cam. Im thinking i want to go over 236/236 duration, atleast .600 lift yet keep the lobes no lower then 114 for drivability. Once i get this Cam thing figured out ill be done with the picking parts process. Look for big #'s out of Jays Heads with APE's block. Thanks again for any feedback or recommendations

I am running a 244 250 in my stock bore, 4.125 stroke motor. If I had a big bore like yours, I would think of going even bigger maybe. BTW mine is a daily driver.

Nitrous goes on in a few weeks...Tony, Rich is tuning it at Magnaflow this weekend. We did a baseline of 460rwhp/435rwtq on 91 thru the full exhaust without tuning.
