Hi fellas , Happy new year , my cousin installed the EWP on his 2000 Camaro , and he asked me how to install the belt and i don't know how ! because when he installed the belt it runs from Tensioner to EWP then underdrive pulley then to Alternator is this correct ?

can you guys please post pictures to see how it runs

thanks in advance

I could not find a diagram for a 2000 Camaro, but did find one for the 2002 - I do not know whether it is the same.

It my understanding, based solely on posts I've read about the Meziere EWP, that it has idler pulley (no load) for the serpentine belt that emulates the OEM pump. Does your application have that idler pulley?

.

The belt installs the exact same way as it would with your stock waterpump.

If he has the 319 or street model then yes he needs to use the stock belt length and route the belt the same way it came off, the diagram above should be the same for the 2000's. They use to also make a "race" version as well, which did not have the pulley and required a different belt. The pulley on the pump is just free wheeling just like any other idler pulley in a serpentine belt setup.

is a shop doing the install? or are you doing it at your house?
most shops, i hope, would know how to route the belt.
but as states before if your using a pump that looks like this

http://www.byunspeed.com/images/MEZWP319R.jpg

then you would route the belt as you would if it was stock

Just because it is electric does not mean you have the chance to ditch the belt. You still need it, the pulley just becomes an idler. And yes it is just as it was stock.
