Default Anyone running Compstar CSC6125DS2AAAA rods?

Ive noticed that not a lot of places carry these rods. They are the I beam rods that are rated for 650hp but I know that is just a number they give out. When really it comes down to RPM and such. Im thinking about calling one of the carries of this rod and probably Compstar themselves if I can't get the weight of these rods. Is anyone here running these rods though? I don't plan on revving the motor past 7k and this would be in a boosted engine that I would like to get at least 800hp+ out of and im curious if anyone would have a good explanation of why these rods would be a bad idea to use.

I've searched it as well. Its hard to say if the pictures of these rods r of the actual rod or callies top shelf I beam. Unless they look the same but r made of diff materials. I'm shopping for rods as well and the design looks really nice and r under 400... id say they will pass the 650 rating and hold higher levels

These rods, are for a lack of a better term our "low buck" I beams. They were designed to be paired with our LSc Crank (the 5140 steel crank). These Rods I would recommend keeping under 550 AND 7000rpm. The LSc set up was originally designed with the truck guys in mind, for extra towing and torque power. With that said on a side note, the 5140 lsC crank is good to 750, however some are pushing them further.

Bottom line, in your case, I would spend the extra 257 and go with the H beam.
If you are surpassing this number I would go with the H/I (CSC6125DS2A2AX) OR the standard H beam
(CSC6125DS2A2AH)

Ill probably go with the CSC6125DS2A2AH then. I found a place that sells them for cheaper than the K1 rods that I had originally planned to get. I just wasn't sure about the budget I beams since no one really sells them and there wasn't any specs on them that I could find.

Currently we are working on a replacement for that rod. For mild applications. More Info to come!

a few sites have them rated at 650 thats weird... I would have thought they would be strong enough to replace the ls2 rod. Is this underating it by a really safe margin? There is a few members with scats 300 dollar i beam making close to 700rwhp...

are you talking about the compstar HD I beam rods as being "budget" a lesser rod than the H beam?
