Default running issues. p0327 / p0102

**EDIT** Go to post #14 for update

ive been having issues with the car. sometimes the idle will change randomly. it was throwing a maf code and after i put a new one on it helped out alot and no more maf code, however its still having problems. while driving at about 2500rpm the car feels like its choking. you can put the pedal to the floor and nothing will really happen. same thing happens when its parked and you rev it up. i was told it could be a vacuum leak but we couldnt find it. also its showing knock sensor code as well. just thought id try to locate the leak and figure out what the deal in the pic connects to first. is it possible to get knock sensors turned off via tuning? id rather not spend $100 on sensors and go through the process of changing them.

the end by my pinky finger wasnt attached to anything

If you are referring to the part in your thumb and fingers, It looks to be your PCV valve, and there should be a hose going to the intake up by the throttle body. If its whats on your pinkie finger, I would say a lil better picture, Cant really tell.

Yes that little piece goes to a bolt right there on top of the motor. It is a little metal bracket with a little short length of wire. It has a clip on the end to hold the PCV line. It doesn't make any kind of electrical connection so I'm sure it just supports the line up off the motor. Dunno why they chose wire to do this?

connect the PVC back to the nipple on the side of the intake........if that short hose crapped out....use about 2 inches of 3/8 fuel line.........that metal thing is the ground strap for the PCV.....it bolts right below where the PCV goes...........if its running like crap....its becuz you have a massive vacuum leak

Sorry but a PCV does not NEED a ground. Its not electrical in any way shape or form. I figured it was a cheap way to make a flexible bracket to hold the long PCV line up off the motor, no more no less. The hose DOES need to be hooked up or you will have a massive vacuum leak.

ok i got that thing hooked back up. looks like it bolted onto a coolant line that goes under the intake. that did not change anything running wise with the car. i do remember that it had be disconnected for some time and the car was running properly. then it set for 3 months until i got my new converter / trans installed and its had problems ever since i got it running again. has no power above 2500 really. as if it were cutting out. i guess i will talk to my tuner and see what he thinks about the knock sensors and if they can be turned off.

Not on the coolant line man. On the nipple that's by the intake behind the Throtle body.

codes are back on. a maf code and still knock sensor code. apparently its the first sensor usually from a pinched wire or corrosion. anyway, im not sure how these codes would come on as my car has been sitting in the garage for 3months without being driven. i put a new maf on and car ran better but still showing the code after is has been cleared. this is getting annoying.
