before you send your intake to Tony M. ,put the heads on the block and take pics of the bottom shell ports leading to the head ports.send the pics with the intake for porting.

I picked up a FAST 102 from a member on here last week. After talking to Mike Norris I am going to stick with a 92mm T/B. He said the testing/tuning he has done, there's not much benefit with the larger T/B and the 90/92 T/B's are easier to tune and have better throttle response. I have a PTM 92mm but I am looking for a NW.

Wow if you were to read the info we are all talking about. And by reading your post you did not. It's not about the T/B but the intake runner. the whole setup is way better then the 90 or 92. keep yours open for some 346's laying down fat numbers.

Just like tony said the head is only as good as the intake port and suppley of the intake.

I'd opt for a 102mm. It will benefit your setup better out of the box let alone if you got it ported.

that is because any lid will be the restiction on a fast 102 setup...the lid flows like an equivalent 84mm orifice...so you could have a 200mm opening and it will flow the same, or even put on a 85mm Tb and it will be the same hp numbers again...the next choke point needs to be opened up before gains can be seen...

I have posted this earlier in the thread, take off your lid and look down the snout and you will see why it only flows 84mm

I have heard on the local boards of a couple people saying that the larger volume will kill the low end. I was originally going to get a 92, but after reading this, my research has come to a grinding halt again.. damn...... Will a 92/102 combo help retain some low end? I will be adding cats to this to further help the low end. It's also a Pat G TQ cam with worked over (non-milled) 243 heads from Wheel2Wheel.

no low end will be hurt...runner length and size depict the hp and tq...not the Tb opening...think how itb's work
