Hotcam?
Hey guys, Ive been searching and not getting much feed back.
Im looking to put a cam in my lq4 before my son is born to finish up my swap. I have a new hot cam laying on the shelf.
Will the hot cam go in with no ptv clearance issues on my:
stock lq4 short block
factory head gaskets
tea stage 3 heads 2.055 valves milled to 58 cc
I really want a big cam, but dont want to fly cut and need to slap it together fast.
What kinda power will it make with headers and a ls6 intake?

Yes ptv would be fine. If You want a bigger cam than go for it there are tons of camshafts that fit fine with no ptv and make and ton more power than a hotcam. Edit-- miss you had milled heads, I still believe you can run a bigger cam but would recommend checking ptv cleanrance.
I just saw a post on another site that a guy is running 58cc heads on a ls1 with a 224 so i may go that route instead. I want all that I can get, but im in a time frame you see.

I called and emailed tsp, he wouldnt really tell me much. Im guessing cause im running the tea heads and not tsp. I tried to called tea about 4 times today with no luck or return emails.
I know it is not a great cam by any standard. However, I made 381/373 with mine. It has been in the car for 8 years this summer. I have never had a problem with it, and it is a fun car to drive.
