What kind of budget are you on and do you plan on having the heads milled to bump compression or anything. Just curious on what your looking for out of this build. You should definety give Texas Speed a call and they should be able to get you the answers your needing.

^^This guy has the right idea! Are you wanting the best piston to valve clearance, or best performance? What other mods are on your vehicle? What goals do you have for this swap (HP, torque, ET's, etc)?

Ive been looking into this also and I keep finding mixed info on the MS4 cam needing to have the pistons flycut or not. I am currently building a late year corvette ls1 block with flat top pistons and stock(not milled) 243 heads with patriot extreme springs and stock ls2 intake. I have a MS4(111 lsa) cam sitting here for when I get the block back but Im not sure if I should change cams or not. Im thinking the tqr v.3 might be better suited for my mild build.

what do you guys think of the 5.3 heads stage 2.5 heads. the valves are larger than the ls6 1.0. will it have more compresion istent that better? the larger valves whould make ptv clearence even tighter? what do you guys think. ls6 1.0 or 5.3 2.5 heads.
