Question 4" crank clearance

Does an LS1 block need to clearanced anywhere in order to use a 4" crank? Are there any other clearance issues with using a 4" crank?

I just played around with the Eagle 4-inch crank tonight and the rods and rod bolts cleared just fine. But I did run into an issue with the crank counterweights bottoming out on the base of the Diamond pistons seen here:





I am thinking the rods are incorrect or the pistons have not been mated to an Eagle crank yet and Diamond is not aware of the clearance issues.

H82bbad said the crank cleared fine but he had to clearance for the rod bolts. Said he used Oliver rods.

Those are the Eagle 6.125" rods (#CRS6125B3D). The pistons are Diamond 11519 for a 4-inch stroke and 6.125" rod on a 4.030 bore. Something is not right with the crank I fear

No I haven't. Did not think there would be any reason to measure the rods? I guess they could be incorrect? I will look into that. They might be 6.098" by mistake?
