Default 224r vs 228r

Trying to decide between a 224r and 228r cam. Car is 99 z28 vert. 3.73 gears, 2800 converter, lts with ory, lid, ls6 intake, SSRA air intake. Opinions? Car is just a fun summer car, occasionally driven to work.

Both cams are great, the 228 will make more power! If you don't track the car the 224 is a great overall cam

definitely go with the 228 cam. I wouldnt go any smaller than a 228 cam. Even between those 2 cams, your probably taking 5 hp difference between the 2.

I had a 224r cam in my 04 GTo m6... it made 386whp with just headers and a tune. It was a good all around cam.

I have the TSP 228R in my 02 Z06 and it's just a monster now. Sounds and runs great, a real thrill. If you like cars with cams I don't see how anyone could not like the 228R.

Have you had your car on the dyno?

Habit, yes I had it dyno'd tuned. You will have to do a search to find out the HP, I'm not starting that cat fight again.
