Default stage 3 cnc 243 heads too big for lq4?

I'm putting together a stock shortblock lq4 motor for my daily driven s10. I was origionally going to go with a set of l92 heads. I got a great deal on a set of ap engineering cnc ported 243 heads. the runners are 237ccs. the flow numbers are great. I called eps and spoke to Geoff he said that he heads were less than ideal for my application. he thinks that low speed torque will suffer. He also admits that he is not a fan of cnc ported stock castings. I can see his point. My theory when I bought these was the runners were quite a bit smaller than the l92 heads, so torque should be better.
The setup i plan on running is, stock block lq4 with these heads and headgaskets to make about 10.0 to 1 compression. an truck intake for starters.(eventually a fast 92/92) 1 3/4" lt headers with 3" dual exhaust. and a small custom cam . the truck will be a t56 with 373 gears. I would like at least 400whp/400wtq. with great driveability. Can a custom cam make this a reality or should I sell the heads and get some stock 243s?
Thanks for any advice.

What's the CC on the heads? And I'm curious what you got spec'd for a cam...I had Pat G spec mine for my LQ4 build, but I ordered it through Geoff/EPS...

I don't know a lot about those heads, but I went with PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads on my build, and I'm happy so far. Still getting the new clutch broken in so I can get the tuning finished...

The intake runners are 237cc's. I Talked with Geoff but haven't finalized the cam purchase yet. I wanted to make sure I was keeping the heads before ordering the cam.

No, what I was asking is what size are the combustion chambers...not the runner size. Sorry, I wasn't clear...
