you can DD just about any cam as long as you have a great tuner.. ill almost DD my car in the summer, and im getting the TSP torquer V3 kit, comes with springs, pushrods, and titanium retainers... youll want to have headers/exhaust, along with at least an LS6 intake, try to get a FAST if its in your budget, port n polish your TB to get the full benefits from the cam..(You already have the gears) Get a lid and an air filter also. from what ive read, needing injectors are hit and miss with cam only cars.... pick up a timing set and oil pump as mentioned above. i beleive the V3 is 231/234 .649"/.598' 111lsa...

Hey yall, i have a 2000 trans am its a dd. Whats a good cam and supporting mods to get? The motor is pretty much brand new in the car maybe 5k miles. My old motor had a ms3 cam with pushrods and valvesprings only, and it seemed a little much for a dd, and plus the motor blew. I have longtubes, and 4.10s so what yall think? what pushrods? valvesprings? anything else i need to upgrade along with the cam? Thanks

I've been DDin my Patriot 225/229 .580/.590 114+4 cam for almost 2 years now. All I put in was PAC1218 valve springs. When I get some heads, it'll definitely have a new timing set, pushrods, lifters, rocker upgrade and other little mods. It's a perfectly DD'able cam, but I could definitely tolerate a mid 230s cam
