Default Yellow LS6 springs on a 02+Z06 cam

02 Z06 cams are rated at .551/.547 lift...yellow LS6 springs are rated at .550 lift would this combo be safe or will the springs bind?

we test beyond limitations just to know the limits and have run them on shop cars (experimental use only) @.597 without fail. I would think you would be ok. But why not spend the $150 for some .600 lift springs for added assurance?

Since those springs are used with that cam from the factory on stock 02+ LS6s I'll go out on a limb here and say they will probably work.

Well u gotta just think for a minute, an 02 z06 comes with an ls6 and is the only engine option for that model. So they would have to coincide together no matter what.

You plan on running 243 heads too? (ls6)

the ls6 cam and springs were designed around the ls6 243 heads w/ lightweight sodium filled valves... I would get a set of pac1218 springs or comp 918's instead, jmo!

THIS^^ The ls6 uses lightweight valves to help control valve float being you probably arent using those valves you probably should upgrade to atleast pac 1218's. Also the ls6 valves are a little longer because the ls6 cam has a smaller base circle so if you are not using those valves it is "recommended" that you upgrade to 7.425 pushrods
