Default where do you buy the asa cam kit? best price?

After tons of reading and research I think this is the cam for me. I know theres tons of cams out there that will make alot more power but I just like the fact that with the ASA or hot cam you dont have to worry about checking your valvesprings and changing them out every 10, 15, 20k miles. That seems like a huge PITA that I dont want to deal with, and costly over time, so that just really turns me off of higher lift cams. I also like the ASA because it sounds badass, has good driveability, mpg and torque and works well with NAAAAWWZ! Which I might add down the road. I have found the hot cam kit for $480 but not sure where to find the ASA and if there is a kit. Price is important to me, I'm a baller on a budget lol. If it turns out the hot cam will be cheaper I'll probably go with that. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Or if you have other suggestions of cams that you dont have to worry about changing springs with let me know.

and yes I am aware that eps cams are the ****!

do you need to change the valve springs too if you already have the ls6 heads? i kno alot of ppl put yellow ls6 valve springs in...but if you have the 01 or 02 model years do u need to put the springs in since the cars already came with ls6 heads?

And its worth it imo to change your oil pump, you will be right there it just seems silly not to upgrade it,if I were you I would look into a 224 cam,not that the cam you picked is a bad choice, but I know there will be a time that your gonna wish you went a lil bigger on the cam,if you can even say a 224 is big lol

Well my main reason for wanting the asa is so I can just throw some ls6 springs in there and not have to worry about them, I'm not a mechanic, a friend of mine is doing the install for me. I don't want to be spending $150+ on springs once a year just to keep the car running

I have a buddy that runs a 224,he drives the car a lot,and in 2 years the springs are fine.I just don't understand going with a small cam only because of changing valve springs, and then say later on you will add spray, are you worried about checking your plugs as well? Not beeing a jerk just asking,a 224 is proven to be great for a dd,and has a lot more to offer than what your looking at

I'm actually pretty good at changing plugs. I just don't want to deal with having to take off the coil packs and valve covers to change or check springs or take it to someone and have them do it because I don't have the tools

Like I said man its up to you,I know a few people that run great times with a ls6 cam in there, yes they have full suspension, slicks, and a rear. I just think it won't be long before you wish you went a lil bigger,a 224 has been proven and is a great cam for a every day driver,as long as you get the kit from tsp or somewhere you will be fine, but like I said its your ride your call I wish ya luck.not saying its a bad setup at all ,ill just wait a lil while to say I told you so lol.

I just bought an asa cam from a member and can say that yes the 224 lift is more but the asa has a duration of 226/236 which in turn makes it a larger cam. I have seen many guys with 6 speeds make 390 or better with an asa cam which is just as well as a 224. Its a little more difficult to tune due to the 110 lsa but other then that for as little lift that is has it can make just as much power as an aftermarket 224 with the right set up of course.

Now if its an eps 224 cam maybe not haha

Does everyone use 7.425" pushrods with the asa cam? Is that the length to go with if your just doing cam only
