Default Cammed LS1 Question
hey guys. i had a motor built by texas speed and performance and i had them put in the 228R comp cam as well. and when i got it tuned the car keeps stalling at idol and i dont know why. it turns over fine and doesnt stall when sitting or at a complete stop but stalls when slowing down and turning the wheel as well. it has a stock fuel pump which im thinking mught be the problem bc im not getting the power it should at high speeds as well.

any suggestions would be great thanks

I doubt it would be your fuel pump. I would take it back to the tuner and have them look at it. That would be my guess as to where your problem is.

i have been to the tuner 3 times for the same issue and there a well known tuner that does alot of ls1 cars and the problem is still there. you dont think that the fuel pump is the problem?

This is why I was guessing it's in the tune. When I first got my tune done for my cam, every once in a while when I let off the gas driving down the freeway, the car would die. My tuner came over and picked up the car, and had it fixed within a couple of minutes.

do you have a ported and epoxied TB, my tuner recommends to not have that, look into your IAC motor and TB

Did he only tune on thedyno or did he also drive it around and tune it?

Wot tuning is simple, a good tuner is separated by idle and part throttle tuning abilities.

lmao i know shes hot thats why i made her model my car =) and i have a stock TB and it was dynotuned and street tuned. it only stalls when im comming to a complete stop the rpm will jump frm 1k to 500 then back anf ourth untill i stop or it shuts off
