one very important thing to note here-the 440rwhp was with a stock intake manifold and tb. with a fast 102 and throttle body it would easily pick up another 30 hp.

Get rid of the harland sharps and you may pick up even more.

I had harlands on my tfs215's and the trunions came apart and spit bearings everywhere. Switched to yella terras and picked up 14rwhp. Also pulled harder past 6,000rpm which was more than likely due to the heavy tips on the harland sharps.

OP, nice set up. There are plenty of routes to get to 440rwhp, this is a nice way to achieve it. And I like the fact that you posted stock numbers. A lot of people don't do that when posting.

You're well over 10k if you include springs, retainers, belts, push rods, gaskets, etc

Did you do the timing chain and oil pump while it was apart?

True but that adds on another 1500 to an already overpriced setup

you have to take into consideration he has headers, cat-back etc rolled into that total too. He could have saved over $300 by just doung a trunion upgrage on the stock rockers. And those heads are pricey!!

Whoever paid 3k for just a cam really got bent over. I paid that for H\C, oil pump, injectors, pulley and a tune.

Not sure if I'm missing it or not. Did you include a clutch as well? I don't think the stock clutch can handle 440rwhp. Easy $1000 for a monster or diamond stage 2 with tick master.

For almost 10k I would have looked at a cheaper set of heads and had a fast installed, but hey, you got what you wanted.

You guys are brutal on the OP. He's got high quality, reliability parts and hit 440rwhp with a stock ls1 intake. TFS heads are very nice, Kooks headers are 100x better than pacesetters, and you have no idea what the specs are on his cam-so how can you ding him for running aftermarket rockers? I would have done things differently than he did too. And the next guy would have done something different than me. But that's how it is, and thats what keeps the sport interesting. I myself have built a budget engine before, had **** luck with it, and will never do it again for a performance engine.

give the guy a break. he said his car was stock when he started & i believe he also paid for installation on the parts too. labor adds a significant chunk of change to a bill.

to the OP, those are some pretty good numbers that your car put down.

Yeah I dont think a lot of you guys are taking into consideration I started from BONE STOCK LS1 here. The Trickfows were extremely expensive compared to other companies, but I was willing to pay for top quality on every part. Labor was obviously a chunk of the price, Youll be surprised when you price out all of the parts, plus all the small extras that go along with them I didnt list, and labor. I gotta say Im more than happy, and will repost after the FAST 102 install coming in the near future.

Not too shabby for that kind of horsepower but how does it drive? Plus you didn't mention any if you had a manual or automatic tranny. At some point you'll have to upgrade those parts very soon if you're truly going all out.

Still nice to have all that power at all times every time!
