Good question. I'm waiting to hear some responses from guys that have experience swapping parts between gen iii and gen iv. FWIW from my reading, there are many parts that can be swapped between these two generations, including intake manifolds, but if you get into aftermarket then I think the devil is in the details.

Nope, it comes with square ports and your heads have cathedral ports..

That's true, but for the most part it stops with the LS2. The LS3 and on came with different style ports like mentioned, so the topend is not compatible.

You can swap the intake, if you run the ls3 head....but then you run into possible valve shrouding with a smaller bore ls1

Yeah I read qbout the heads swap is a no go w/o atleast a 4.000 bore or the valves will hit. Anyways thanks guys. Looks like a ls6 will be what I get. Any thoughts on ls6 tb with the intake? Pros cons?

Yea is there really that much difference with fast or is it just a name. Cause the 800-1000$ difference doesn't seem worth it

I have more room to play with on my goat, but still had to go with a scoop when I went with the Edelbrock proflo xt....I ported it and am EXTREMELY happy with its results....but you'd have to cut your cowl, lose a wiper and may have to notch the windshield....$369 from summit racing

The ports are different.

How much do LS3 intake manifolds go for on eBay?

Can the LS3 heads fit the LS1?

Yes they do bolt up, but from what I understand the 3.090 bore is too small for the valves and they may hit the cylinder wall.....I guess if you wanted to you could get a seat and smaller valves for the ls3 head to work on the ls1 stock bore....but why choke a good head with smaller valves?

The ls3 intake is to big otherwise. The valves will hit the engine= Bad.
