Stock LS6 Heads
238/242 605/610 115+3
1 3/4" Headers
2.5" Catless Exhaust
Out of box 90/90
This set up got me just under 450rwhp. If I recall the A/F was right at 12.7-12.8 and my timing was at 28*. When tuning start it off rich and with low timing snd work your way up untill the car stops responding. Alot of tuners will dial in 13.0 and a set amount of WOT timing and call it a day. But if you are going for a number or squeezing the max hp out of a setup you need to have someone who will take the time to really dial it in.

He is M6. he does not have a fast and is planing on getting one after the cam swap. to make 450whp with 243 heads and a ls6 intake he will need a racetronix hot wire kit, 36-42lb injectors, p&p tb and intake, bigger than stock maf, ftra or similar as pred z stated, high quality merge, and a mid 23x/low24x. duration cam on a 112-114 lobe to make 450whp. If he had the heads ported by say TEA or AI he could go with a high 22x. low to mid 23x. duration cam and get very close or run a cam such as the TRak cam to get there.

You can get close with a cam but highly unlikely.. I would say the way your car sits 425 would be a relistic goal, although there are exceptions to the rule. I would look into a torquer 3 or ms3 from texas speed if I were you. If you can swing it add the fast at the same time. You should also look into picking up some more boltons as well. Good Luck!

450whp is not that easy to make especially on a daily driver. But that is exactly what i have 450whp and it is my daily driver. Set it up to be very drivable and have a good torque curve. This is my thread with the full setup. Idles great drives amazing with almost no bucking. Still getting ave 19-20mpg combined driving and still get 30mpg highway.

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Reverse Split" - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band
site has a pic of dyno graph. and it put down 410hp
http://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by...-Cams_947.html
This dyno graph is of a 1999 LS1 TransAM with Thunder Racing 230/224, 111 lsa Camshaft with stock cylinder heads. Other mods include Grotyohann Long Tube headers, Whisper Lid, LS6 intake manifold, Thunder Racing ported throttle body, ASP Pulley, 12 bolt rear end w/ 4.30 gears and custom computer tuning. The "before" graph shown are with the same bolt-on modifications. The only things that were changed were the camshaft and the y-pipe was replaced with 6" collector extensions for dyno and track use.
i should get around 440hp at a guess matching his mods vs mine. watcha think?

405hp and 380lb/ft at the wheels. Only other mods are: longtube headers/exhaust, cold air intake, and Powerbond Underdrive pulley
i think its posible maybe a little under my goal but looks like plenty of people do it with this cam. but with this cam and a fast intake complete set up i think my goal will be complete

It is but depending on set-up and altitude DA the day the car was tuned etc. etc. it can run short. It's good insurance and it will be needed sooner than later.
Honestly OP go with the TRak cam I think you will be pleased with it. Either it or a 228/232 cam. I love reverse splits I have the smaller version of the TR 230 the TR227 on a 114, but I think it needs a certain exhaust set-up to work.
If you would be willing to go with a high quality merge (vibrant, flowmaster), 3.5"-4" cut-out and 3.5"-4" exhaust out the back will get you 450 with the TR230 cam and P&P and VJ'd 243's. With the TRak cam, LS6 intake, 42lbs, Hot wire kit for fuel pump, and 243 heads will get you closest to your 450hp goal. It's specs are not much different than the TR230 cam, just with newer lobes.

Anyone seen the trick flow top end kit installed? Heads ,cam, hardened push rods, Harland sharp roller rockers and all the gaskets for about $3200. They claim 515 on stock bottom end with a tune and a stock ls6 intake. Of douse you will have to feed that beast more fuel but it sounds like a pretty good investment. The OP Might want to check it out. I think there is 3 HP levels 515 was the highest. I saw it on summit.
