what cam should i buy??!!!?want 450whp+daily drivin
im looking to put down about 450+whp i have ls1, *243* ls6 heads, kooks headers, and full exhaust i am in need of a cam just not sure how big and witch brand any ideas? i still want to daily drive it if id like so i cant go insanely big.. i think the cam should get me in the 450hp range im hoping
"i haven't been tuned yet was kinda waiting for my cam idk what inda power im pushing now" if anyone has a guess with my mods feel free =)
also in the future i plan on putting a nice fast intake on what size injectors might i need
any help is much appreciated!

If he went with a mid 23x/high23x. cam motion, eps, TR, or lsr lobe I think he could make 450, but he would need a p&p intake and tb along with udp and all other boltons to do it. I don't think he would like to DD the cam it would take to make 450 with stock 243 heads.

What are guys talking about....with LS6 heads, 230's cam, and a FAST intake he should easily make 450rwhp. He already said he has full exhaust.
Might as well get 42lb injectors, the price between those and 36lb isn't much. If you get the rebuilt one's from FIC they are the same price. Although if you are going with a FAST 102 I think you need the skinny injectors.

is your car auto or manual also how many miles on the engine and what intake do you have? have you had your car dyno? if so what did it put down. I agree with the other guys 450+rwhp with stock heads stock cubes i don't see it happening i think you will need a little more like full bolt-ons ud pulley, maf, K&n air filter, etc and at least a 90/90 setup get your heads ported and a good tuner

Are you willing to spend the time and $$$ to do it?
1- (and foremost), get a good valve job (from professionals who race or are involved in racing).
2- A cam in the mid high 230's to early 240's intake and 6 degrees or so exhaust split.
3- Degree the cam.
4- Check preload on the money.
5- 92/92
6- 85mm MAF
7- Some kind of high flowing FTRA, can custom make one like Chrs1313.
8- Proper fuel pressure at fuel rail.
9- Lots and Lots of tuning
IMO, that should get you there.

People talk my car made this and my car made that. I made 499hp from 243 heads and a fast blah, blah, blah. A dyno can say whatever. I had the same set up on three dynos and NONE of them were the same. two jets and one stang. a jet had me a 423hp(first set up ever) and the stang at 378hp. And no matter what they said my car didn't go faster or slower based on some FALSE numbers. from what i've seen on my car and two friends only a dyno jet feeling good will give a stock head car 450hp. Go to a track and see the mph you run vs the 60 foot and weight of the car, then you will know. forget about the dyno number, after all what is a cam and mods for? to simply go faster. i had 8 cams and i'm doing another swap next week. a 228/232 cam will make great power and drive well for you. if you get a 114lob it will smooth the idle quality better then a 112. but,i don't think a 112 idles bad and will help the car pull a little harder. if your cam is stock a 30hp gain should be seen easy. or get with Pat G and he will custom you a cam on some new lobs and you will get a better over all cam and make some more power. good luck to you my friend..
