I have the 228r with 110lsa. It put down 385rwhp and 377rwtq. I used 7.4 pushrods and my engine is quiet.

The 110+0 LSA is what I run and it is better for me because I spend 99.9 % of my time on the street. Car makes 375 rwtq @ 3000 rpms. and peaks at 418 rwtq. Horse power is for show torque is was hauls your azzz. Your power will come in at a lower rpm and will peak at 6200-6300 rpm. Your intake runs out of breath at the same rpm. Winding the engine out to 6800-7000 on stock rod bolts is not a good idea and you do not pick up any more power with a cam with that duration. Build your engine as a complete package that will fit your situation. Any competent tuner can tune a cam with a 110 LSA it is no big deal. If they tell you it is hard go find a real tuner because you are not talking to one now. I have over 110,000 miles on this cam/heads combo and it is still running great.

Make sure you change your stock ls1 lifters I know this from experience. This is a great cam throw some 243's and it will scream.

I beleive you would make tourqe even sooner if you would have put some advance into the cam. Like 110+2 or 110+4

It makes torque sooner the dyno does not start reading HP/TQ till 3000 rpm. As far as your guess about making hp/tq sooner by adding advance you are incorrect sir.

Yes you choose the LSA in the drop down menu. That particular setup has 2 degrees of advance.

When I ordered the stage 1 heads and 228r cam, the 110 LSA wasn't even an option in the drop down box. Anyway, I was looking for power in the 3000 to 6000 range, went with the 112.

For some reason on the heads/cam package page where you ordered it (110LSA) isn't listed...but it is always an option. If you haven't installed the 112LSA yet and wanted the 110LSA instead, we can still exchange it for you

Hello Matt!

For my application - how would the 112 work out? (vs other LSAs) Looking for power in the 3 to 6k range.

112LSA vs 110LSA will only affect the powerband by about 50rpm or so. In my honest opinion, not worth the shipping charges back and forth to exchange them.

Just to let you know, when I was running a 220/224 112 lsa cam in mine I started out with a 2,800 stall, butwhen I jumped up to a 3,600 stall it made a world of difference over the 2,800

228R 112LSA is 110 ICL (2º advanced). All other things equal, the 110LSA+2 will peak earlier than the 112LSA+2 on that 228R.

So does the 228r with 112 LSA have the same +2º as the 110 does?

You quoted me with the answer. It is 112LSA and 110 ICL (2º advanced).
