Default TFS 205 heads with big cam

I got a hold of a set of TFS 205 cylinder heads for a good deal, and I am wondering if they are worth putting on my car, or if I would be better off not messing with them?

I have an 02 c5z, and the mods are as follows. LG superpro longtubes, FAST 102/90mm tb, and an EPS 234/246 camshaft.

Do I have too much motor/cam for these heads? I'm thinking the heads will fall off before the cam does, more than my factory 243s. Is this more than likely the case? Or will the heads work just fine?

Why not just sell them to me???

I'm sure they will work great, they are TFS heads. The AFR 205 heads work great, so I'm sure the TFS heads will be no different. TFS are one of the best head manufactures period. I know a lot of people run big cams with the AFR 205 heads. I did quite a bit of searching on here before I traded my AFR 205 heads. If I were you and you're looking for a nice all around street/stip car, I'd keep the cam in the low 230's intake and mid to upper 230's exhaust.

By the way, how much did you get the heads for?

Cam is already in the car, and I like where it makes power (5000-7000), so it's staying. I just. don't want the heads to work against the cam.

I have $1300 in the heads assembled, and they've never been installed on anything

You mean TFS 215s right? I've never heard of TFS 205 heads.

I too have a EPS cam in my stroker.
I would recommend that you contact Geoff at EPS
and get his opinion whether or not it is worth the
head swap. G/L

I'm sure you could get that all day long in the classified section on here. May be worth your while to sell them and use those funds to buy, then have A.I. port some 243's, or buy some TFS 215 or TFS 225's.

427 if it was the 215's this thread wouldn't be here lol

I had the heads checked out. Intake port measured 205, exhaust measured 84cc, and the chambers are 57cc.

I called Geoff, and he couldn't give me an honest answer because he has never used the 205s either, nor did he have any information on them.

I had no intentins of putting heads on my car anytime soon, I just couldn't pass up the deal. I'm not going to splurge an extra $1000 just because these heads may not be the best. Either these are worth bolting to my motor for what I have in them, or I will continue to run the car cam only.
