what coolant

I like the Dexcool because of the extended drain intervals it gives. I have used it in many vehicles for many years, both cars and bikes, and never had any problems. The only trick is to never contaiminate a Dexcool filled system with incompatible chemicals. There is no performance advantage, in terms of cooling, with either type. If you need maximum cooling the Evans coolant may be worth a look - but it is a more expensive choice.
(The extended drain interval is better if you live in the city where the proper disposal of old anti-freeze is a pain - unlike used oil no one will take it off your hands. You aren't supposed to put it down the drain, or dump on the ground - it will kill pets, etc.)

if you completely have drained the system and cleaned it totally out you use the green stuff. i have drained and cleaned all my systems. i run 1 1/2 gallon green stuff, distilled water, and a bottle of purple ice. have so on 5 vehicles and they work perfect and run cool.

I'd stay away from dexcool if possible. I seen good results and really really bad results from dexcool. Its supposed to be long life but its EXTRA SUPER HIGH maintenace, you let dexcool run low and you will be treated to some of the nastiest acid crap mess you ever saw.
I switched to Propylene glycol, absolutely the best move a ever made. Its completely trouble free and stays clean.

Stay away from dexcool over time it turns to a orange/rust color sludge that just causes more problems that its worth.....I have always ran the yellow Prestone that works with any type of coolant...I saw alot of problems with dexcool while I am a mechanic at a Chevy dealership

Too many ifs and buts with dexpuke. I would pi$$ in a radiator BEFORE i ever used Dexpuke! Ethylene Glycol has been around for how many years? If it aint broke...dont fix it. You use Dexpuke and the systems gets contaminated, aliens hump your radiator, squirrels pee in your overflow tank....and the list goes on....You will end up with basically what looks like puke in your whole cooling system clogging everything up and attacking all the aluminum it can eat...and YOU WILL BE FIXING IT!
Go GREEN....Ethylen Glycol that is!

also on a note about alien humping (lol) dexpuke. it cannot have air in the system. meaning you have to have an air tight cooling system. or it will crystalize. green green green. if you use the green stuff the aliens crawl in and clean it and the squirrels pressure wash it for you.

I have never had any problems with Dex, but I swapped over when I changed motors. If not for anything, the ease of finding antifreeze if you are in a pinch. I don't need extended drain intervals, my car is a toy not a DD.

Just keep in mind ALL antifreeze at walmart is dexclone. the only place yu are going to find anything else is at a auto store and even then its getting very hard to find the older green antifreeze.
