Smile eps 226-234 cam and tfc 215s

im about to start my bild soon on my 01 t/a 6 speed. so far i have the eps 226 234 cam ls7 lifters ls2 trays and ls2 chain tfc 215 heads cosmetic 51 thou head gaskets tfc pusthrods fast 102 intake arh 1/78 headders and y pipe. this is my first non stock cam replacement on these motors. done it a few times but just on pickups and suvs newer style for cam destryed by lifter. my question is do i have to degree this cam and what difference will it make if i do or dont. i will prob need a ajustibe timming set too. how bad is it to degree cam in car? is it worth doing. will i be okay with ptv clearence. should i mill heads. i was tild to put them on out of the box without doing anything to them.. what power do you think the car will make. what injectors shoul i get for this setup. i gess i will get 102mm tb too. thanks for the help and advice thanks.

I totally disagree.I put in plenty of cams in Lt1 motors and LS1 motors and never degreed the cam.If you don't degree the cam you could leave a few Hp on the table.I would degree the cam in a GEN1 motor.

try to degree it with your current timing set ,if it don't work then get a adjustable timing set.

You may not need an adjustable set, when I degreed my cam it was 1 degree of and I just loosened up the timing chain and move it a little and it was fine afterwards.
