Default Valve Spring Micrometer

Just wondering if the valve spring micrometers fit over the one piece seat/seal or do you have to remove them to measure spring height?

Should fit over it. If it doesn't you could always remove the seat, measure your spring height and then subtract the thickness of the seat from your measurement.

Keep in mind that the smaller beehive retainers used in many LS engines dont sit in the proper seat on some VS mics. Measure the mic with a caliper to see where the right spot for the retainer to sit is.

Good point, I made a shim that filled the pocket in the top of the micrometer to measure directly.
