I could be wrong but if you are using a stock .051 gasket, 0 deck height, I get 9.9

Or did you mean 62cc chambers?

With a 72cc head, a-2cc flat top piston, and a stock MLS gasket you would be at 9.88:1 according to my compression calculator.

I will be running the 72cc heads I accidentally purchased the wrong ones.
So now I guess im stuck what to do.

Sell the heads. or use them

I really want most my power from nitrous.
can I now safely add a 300 shot?

You could always mill your heads to get some extra compression if you want. Since the piston has a valve relief in it you have the room. Do you know if the motor was setup for a 300 shot as far as ring gap and bearing tolerances? 300 is a lot of nitrous and if the motor was not setup to be hit that hard it might not take it very well. I would check with your engine builder on that one.

I will be purchasing the engine from you guys I am torn between 370 or 408 LQ9. I just got a killer deal on my heads I really dont want to sell them if I dont have to.

How much would have to be milled off if I where to go with a 408? I believe an 11.1-11.5:1 is the compression ratio I would want for the street.

I would definitely recommend spending the extra money for the 408. It will make a noticeable amount more power. With the 408, your heads milled to a 70cc chamber, and a cometic .040" gasket you will be at 11.3:1. Make sure you build the 408 with the Wiseco -3cc flat top piston and that will get you where you want to be compression wise.
