Sometimes when things "shouldn't" be a problem they are.

Sometimes ... but if there was clearance with the OEM springs, then there will be even more clearance with the PAC 1518 springs - in terms of coil clearance/coil bind. The PAC 1518s are basically the same dimensional envelope as the OEM springs - that's what makes them a perfect "drop in" spring on the LS1/LS6 while using OEM retainers, locks and guide seals.

Of course I will be turning the engine over and checking everything just to be sure.

Yeah, it's just a stock 2002 Z06 with the wimpy stock LS6 cam ... LOL.

Yep ... the PAC 1518s are true "drop in" springs for the LS1/LS6. There is really nothing I could do to change their installed height while using OEM hardware anyway. But I still like to know all the details of their performance and setup when installed.

No, because it was only 2 batches of PAC 1518 springs that were bad (batch numbers given in your linked thread), and those were made around Oct, 2010. The PAC 1518s I have were made Apr 2011.
