Rocker "tap?"

If it were bearings, there should have been SOME sort of change in the noise when you killed each cylinder. Even if it were main bearings, some sort of change in noise should have been obvious. Unless it's become really really bad. Also, there should be a loss of oil pressure. You can pull the oil filter and cut it open. That should help determine what's going on in there too.

I guess I'll just pull the heads, if anything. I really don't want to have to pull the entire motor. I had killed the spark from each, didn't notice a change other then the car just idling roughly from the cylinder not firing. Oil is fine. The only thing I can guess is that the needle bearing got into the system and is jammed or chipped something.. I guess my next "Cheap Option" is to pull the heads and look at the cam, lifters etc... If it still doesn't run, I'll be studying the write up and pulling the ls1 and taking it to a shop to see if it can be machined and rebuilt. I'm a college student lol I'm broke, gotta save! hahahah
Thanks you all!

Op have you drained the oil? I'm willing to bet your gonna find a lot of material in the filter and on the plug. I'm still leaning towards bearings that screeching soun you hear at times are the bearings spinning on the rods
