New knock sensors
So it has become obvious to me now that i must change my knock sensors. What is a Good knock sensor to buy and I assume i will need a new harness also. I've searched and see that there are many different brands. I want a good brand because once i get it done I don't want to go back inside because i bought a piece of crap. Any help would be Great!

For a 1998 LS1, there are two listings:
AC Delco Part # 2133521, GM Part #10456603. This also fits more recent models and is listed as being without relocating tab.
AC Delco Part # 213298, GM Part 10456222. This is listed as first design, with relocating tabs.

The only difference that I can see in the pictures relates to the part of the sensor to which the harness connects. The harness number I supllied fits the first sensor (10456603). Since you are not trying to match an existing wiring harness I suspect that is the way to go.

Since we are on the subject of Knock Sensors, has anybody painted them???
When I removed mine they were rusted so bad that it was obvious they were on their last legs. I'm sitting here looking at the new ones and thinking maybe a coat of engine paint on the body would help keep them from corroding so bad.
I've heard of using RTV on the big fat plugs, and was planning on doing that also.
