right around 470-500 HP and 460-480 Tq would be my guess, depending, the six speed will dyno higher than an auto every time.

Thanks. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better setup? That would make more power?

By the time you buy all the crap in that list you could buy an iron block 4.8 and turbo kit...OR if your crank and rods are good buy some dished forged pistons and a turbo kit. That list of parts is going to be around $10k. I love how people assume turboing is more $$$ than building a NA motor.

Well i have already talked to kentucky turbo about a setup. And the setup i would do (twin turbo) is about 9500 if i want to keep my a/c. so that is out of the equation. But i would love to turbo it but cant

well if i am going to turbo it i want to twin turbo it. Now if you can come up with a reasonable turbo setup for an ls1 that makes more power than a 383 then i would think about using a single setup which are still 3700 for a kit from kentucky turbo. Also i would need supporting mods

What supporting mods do you think you would need to out perform a NA 383? A single turbo 4.8 can crap on a NA 408 with the right setup. You could also consider a procharger. I've used the $188 (shipped) ebay headers and they are solid pieces. I believe they are built on the old LPP design. You could also look for used upgrades like LS6 cam (I'm about to sell a 216/224 .551/.551 115lsa cam with 918 springs).

Well how about the clutch being about 600 bucks more and the trans not being able to handle 600 or 700hp for very long...but i will look into a turbo a little more
