OK so lets say I changed it up and bit and did something like this...

231/234 .617/.612 111+2 LSL/LXL wouldn't give up too much peak hp from the bigger cams and should have better power under the curve right?

OK so I got a line on a good deal on a NIB Yank SS4000, NIB FAST 90/90, G5X5 cam kit and some 36lb injectors. The G5X5 scares me a bit (240/248 .605/.619) but I'm thinking it could be tamed with good tuning and the FAST/243 head combo plus that big stall will eat up some of the surge down low.

That cam is far, far too big. What's the lobe separation?

I wouldn't say it's far far too big but it's a big ole nasty cam in line with the Trex and Polluter for sure. I might just go ahead and get it in the deal and sell it and do the 231/234 custom LSL/LXL cam I posted about last. I think that cam has HUGE potential...
