Default what year lq4 for 99 camaro ss swap

I would like to install an lq4 into my camaro but I was not sure what year engine I needed and do I have to worry about reluctor wheel tooth count or anything else for that matter. Will 2001 and up engines work in a 99 ?? thanks

This. Lq4's were made up to 2007 (mine is an '07 from a Hummer H2). '04-up had the better rods and floating pistons. ALL lq4's have 24x reluctor wheel.

does anyone know if the 04 -07 rod works on the 00-03 crank with no modifications. are the big ends the same size and do they use the same bearing?

Yes they will work but a 99-00 crank is longer and will not work in a fbody
