I have only really looked quickly but I am looking for something that has been thought out and paired together. I looked at the V3 and heads package.
I had the streetsweper cam, 236/240 .615/.615 111 LSA, actually still have it but had some oil pressure problems. Cam is shot as well as lifter.
I really like the power of the streetsweeper but I would like more power under the curve instead of always having to rev the car to 6800 rpms. Also, the car drove crappy at low rpms.
I put about 10,000 miles on the car a year, track once or twice a year. I want something with great street manner and that makes more power than my cam only. So if it made 440 rwhp, I would be happy.

Sucks to hear about the cam damage. You dont have to rev that cam to 6800, why are you? I would go slower shifting it there, I think it peaks at about 6300. My car was the fastest with my shiftlight set at 6400rpm BTW. went 10.6s 128's. Id like to know what you go with, and what you think about it. Sounds like you want a smaller cam, but I would keep it and just get a better rear end with some gears. Its not even recommended to run any cam that big with stock gears. A few guys have made 500whp with it and good heads. A goal of 440 you can do with stock 243s, if your going to get a good ported head. A little 224R will do it to, and you would like it better with the stock gears.

Now that you mention it, I think my shift lite is set lower at 6600 or maybe lower, I remember you mentioning it went slower at the higher rpm.
Check the internal section for my other post, cam and lifters are shot so I need a new cam now. The heads are the 853's and the machine shot said like $500 to redo them with stock springs so probably $600 with better springs. Im going to get the bottom end redone and put the rest of it together myself, they want $700 to assemble it.

Im satisfied with mine but i think im gonna go with a custom cam and try to get a little more out of it. Cant remember the unlocked dyno numbers but locked it did 400. something but my stock trans was acting up. Since that dyno i put a performabuilt lvl2 and switched from a fuddle 3600 to ss4000 and from 3.23s to 3.73s. Best track time is in sig

I have the Tsp 2.5 heads out of the box and the 233/239 cam. With Fast intake and full exhaust car made 431 pretty good numbers for a budget package and M6. It will surge slightly down low but that is because of my stock gears. I can't complain I love the way my car drives and wouldn't have done anything different.

If you want a better DD cam, 224R or 228R is very popular for more mild cams. I saw the specs of the streetsweeper and it's a cam that most would hate to DD, some don't mind. You could always get it tuned to drive to your standard if you end up keeping it.

Anyone is going to hate that cam with stock gears that's a given. That is a Badass cam it just needs the 4.10 or higher gears, listen I would go with a custom cam matches to some prc227s, but honest man that streetsweaper with some decent heads and some gears will make you very happy.my ms4 car sucked so bad with stock m6 gears, put some 4.30s in there and its a different ball game

I have a head cam package. I had a stock LS2 from a GTO and bought their LS6 Heads Stage 2.5 and 231/236/112 cam. With my headers, exhaust and H/C package I dyno @ 474 at the wheels. 430 torq. Heads looked great when they got here and was very pleased with the service and quality of their products. Best customers service I have ever had from any company.

Thanks for all the replies. I dont daily drive my car, have a beater for that. I would actually keep the streetsweeper but I pulled the lifters and cam. Its shot.
Looks like it a valve hit the piston also. I dont want to have to flycut. I am going to have the bottom end redone with new bearings, rings and a hone. I will be putting it together myself.

Thanks for all the replies. I actually priced out staying with the streetsweeper cam, it is the cheapest route as I dont need to get new heads, tune, pushrods or springs. I am still not convinced to stay with it though. It would be nice to try something different since I do have the whole car apart.\
I do see everyone is happy with the texas speed products, one of the reasons I chose to take a look at them.

I thought there would be alot more people posting in here. I guess if there arent as many TSP head and cam users.
Post up if you would recommend a head cam package.
