Default Creating a fun yet streetible car!

Well as fun as my car is now it sometimes gets boring. I understand what some of you think.. power up! Well that is definitly gonna be the plan.
I want some ideas thrown around to this fun yet streetible car that will wax most stock/not heavily modified cars such as a newer ss camaro, new mustang gt and others. Ill go ahead and start it off!
So far im only at exhaust and I soon look to be almost full bolt on/cam, some suspension goodies and maybe rear end if the bank allows. Looking for a low 12 or high 11 second end result. Im also actually debating whether I should just save for maybe f/I in the next year or two or what. Or possibly just take the short nitrous route . Well what do y'all think! What would you do?!
And car is 88 iroc with ls1/t56 and stock fourth gen rear end.

First, does it need to pass any emission test, sniffer and/or visual ?

Nope not a damn one. Md is where its at! Im actually running around with just my catback hanging there lol. Couple people were worried because the bitch moved so much

lucky!!! i'd go with F/I if i were you, power whenever you want to use it, not like a nitrous bottle which has to be refilled and rapes your wallet over time . . . F/I only rapes you once and your done lol

If im lucky.. my luck id be tearing belts up or ******* up a turbo lol! It seems soo taunting atm for that power when you want it. I know its not a nessesity but id only roll pump gas if I ever went f/I. 93 ofc . So the reliability factor comes in to play. Then forged internals.. oh I can feel that wallet hurting now! Now also with the cam.. now if I take that route id like to go decent sized without even consitering flycutting the pistons. I actually was thinking maybe a tsp v3? But if its too big maybe the v2?

What intake does it have, and what type of power-band are you looking for ?

Right now its a stock ls1 intake which I do plan to upgrade to ls6 intake fer sure. I really don't wanna spin the motor AS high as other people(6400-6600ish) would be plenty plenty for me so a more mid to higher would make me happy. which is why I was debating the v3, however its suppose to make more power throughout the torqueband so its tempting. If I ever did f/I I feel as though id get a whipple or d1sc/p1sc instead of the complicated turbo route with piping and the other crap.

For a streetable car I wouldn't go over mid to upper 220's duration and a custom grind can make sure you have more power in the lower rpm range where it really counts on the street. Rather than messing around with nitrous or forced induction, get a set of AFR 210 heads. That should put you right in the "ballpark" of 500 crank horsepower with lots of (fun) torque. That's enough to put the "Smack Down" on most street cars. ...and get you in the ET range you want on street tires with a street friendly rear gear.

^now that sounds like a plan! Im not to big on knowing all the cam specs yet and what not but will that cam create a more stockish idle or choppy? I understand tuning has alot to do with it but the cam im sure has some say and ill bet the heads do to. Any idea on how streetible this combo would be? Also, not sure if anyone has done it, but I know there thinking about a whipple kit for ls1 fbods.. but would it fit under the hood of a third gen? Any info on that anyone?

IMO, I'd keep the duration under 230. Somewhere along the lines of 224/228, 226/230, or a 228/228, all with a 111 or 112lsa.
I'd go with XER lobes at a minimum but preferably EPS or with LSL lobes if you're willing to go over .600" lift.

The factory cranks can hold some good hp numbers. On my engine I kept the crank and added new rods and forged pistons. I called Texas Speed and told them what I had and what I wanted which was about the same goals you have. They set me up with a (I think) 228-230 114 lsa cam. (could've been 226-230 though, I'll have to check cam card for exactness)
I wonder though, the guys running turbos, are you running stock radiators or upgrading to a 3 row?
