Comp 54-459-11 is a little bigger than your cam with .617/.624 and 231/239; supposed to fit with no piston mods but dual springs and trunnion are recommended which drives the $$ up a bit if you don't already have those in place. You might want more stall but Comp could tell you that. This is the cam they suggested for my M6 / 4.10 plan but I have decided to go in another direction.

We have both the Torquer V.3 and the 233/239 which are larger camshafts that would also work with that 3200 converter.
Give us a call, we would be happy to discuss options or possibly even a custom spec for you application.

yes, it is a street car, but not exactly a daily driver.. sunny days i'll drive it. that's why i was keeping the torque converter as low as it is. my goal is to break 475 RWHP without nitrous or any forced induction.
i'm very interested in this V.3.. i want to get a decent head/cam package that'll get me to where i need to be. my mods are:
Volant Cold Air Intake
92mm Typhoon Intake Manifold
Torquer V2 Camshaft
Long Tube Headers
3200 RPM Torque Converter
4:10 Gears
BBK Underdrive Pulley Kit
SLP 160 degree Thermostat
LS2 timing chain
90mm Edelbrock throttle body
i am still in the hunt for a 90+ MAF. and heads of course... also, would 42# fuel injectors be good enough for 475 HP? or should i go with 60#?

so i found this, but unfortunately, i don't think the head/cam will get me up to 450ish... seeing that i have a LS1. i'd like to stick with the LS1 if i can, cheaper i guess.

i put up another thread a little while ago asking if i should go with a stroker kit or just upgraded lsx. What i got from it was that the stroker would be just as expensive, but all the machine work and stuff would keep it out of commission for quite some time. that's why i am thinking a LS2. I can use most of my LS1 parts on it.

If you are talking about a junkyard LS2, you are most likely right that a stroker would be more money, but how much are you going to invest in that before you install? The TSP kit with balancing and bearings is like $2200 and you can run the same everything that you have now:

You can touch 450 whp with a heads/cam/full bolt on LS1. I'll agree that contacting someone and seeing what they recommend is step 1. I just ordered a custom grind from EPS and I must say, I learned a lot in my 20 minute conversation with Geoff.
