bigest streetable cam
Any suggestions would be good. Not looking for a custom cam for now. This is my first LS build would like something I can just buy.

Why such a small converter?
Please stay away from TCI. Even if you have to wait an extra month to save up the little bit extra for a base PTC converter, I PROMISE you will thank me.
It will be the difference between hating or loving your car.

I'm a 248/252 .649/.646 112+4 and i daily drive the car with a py3600 that stalls up to 5k when i lay into it...
I could go bigger and still not have an issue...
It's all in how you tune it.
If your tuners can't get the job done, then get a different tuners...
Most people who own tuning software, are not tuners... They are just dudes who can help you change your tune to a new file.
228R is just an all around good cam.. Reason for that and not something larger? The small converter size. If you move up to a 3600 or 4000 I would consider going to something similar to 232/234 .601 112
That should make decent power lower in the band but easily make power past 6500 if the setup will allow it.
Have you done any porting to the heads? Plan on it?
Haven't heard from them in a while either.
I wouldnt say TCI is crap, but they dont keep up with many of the other aftermarket converters out there these days
the TCI converters just feel "Soft" compared to FTC/Yank/Circle-D
However, TCI does make a good transmission...
that is something they have done correctly...built well and hold up to a lot of abuse...
I dont know how they got the trans right and missed the mark on the converters..
and TCI is a part of the Comp Performance group...so its not just TCI sponsoring the powerblock.. its Comp Performance group doing it

you might also notice all the other "comp" items they use in every setup they do.
