bigest streetable cam

big cam = slow street car.you will need a great tuner ,gears, big stall, built trans, etc.whats your budget and goals ?you don't need a big cam to go quick with a ls motor.243 heads and a EPS cam will get you low 11s with all the right bolt on.read and learn alot more before you buy anything.

I agree My buddies MS4/4L60 car wasn't impressive. But it is now that he changed things up. I like 228 or 230-236s in street cars.
If you're going to run a big cam make sure you have a good tune, the right gears and supporting mods

im a big cam fan, but 75 percent of guys that go with a huge cam leave so much on the table, and dont make the mistake so many do after watching some idle clips on youtube and get a cam just because it sounds cool, that is such the wrong thing to do, and asking others what they think is streetable is not a good idea, some are hardcore and can deal with surging, shaking, loud, etc others cant, what you should do is go into detail about what you use the car for and future mods that you plan, have you done bolt ons yet? if not start there

Just to throw in here, why not if auto opt for something like a 220/224, 112 lobe with .575/.575 lift ? I have this cam and is the smallest size i have put in an ls1 yet and it surprised me and i have stock stall converter in it too . it sounds tough as nails thru a twin 3 inch system. and it has a great lumpy lope sound at the lights but not over the top with fantastic street manners.
But in saying that it comes down to tune also, i first had it tuned by a cheaper place and holy ****, it was nothing compared to going to a place that is very reputable by many people and getting a decent tune. also, what and where do you want the power ? low to mid , mid to high etc Makes a difference imo.

You'll get many different opinions. Here's mine. I wouldn't go bigger than a low 230's cam. My Torquer 2 on a 112 is the biggest I would go on a driver. With a really good tune, it's livable in all street situations. Any more overlap and you'll compromise drivability and tuneability for a couple more high rpm horsepower.

Depends on what you mean by "Streetable"
Coming from someone with an EPS 234/246 cam in a stock LQ9 6.0L
Streetable daily driver = high 21X to low 22X
Streetable weekend toy = high 22X to low 23X

i have the Raptr cam 236/242 on a 111 LSa with a 5000converter and 3.42's not the best on the street....kind of annoying unless im just out to play around. so i would say if you are driving the car a lot, then listen to the people talking about the smaller cams...can still make them sound choppy! i might drive mine once a week so i can deal with it.

Bigger as in big power?

I have this custom cam I had done, Makes 440+ on stock heads. Drives just as good as the streetsweeper I had before, the never surges or bucks. Makes more power then trex, that made the most power. And drove bad, surges and bucks and low rpms.

I know im going to need a stall and gears and i have another car to drive because i live in new england so the weather always sucks i just want something that sounds very mean and performs just as good i dont care about bottom end power that much i just want my trap speeds to be up there my cars is completely stock and its doing 108 at the end of the track i wanna do at least 114-116 is that possible with cam stall long tubes and full exhaust? ive been in a a lot off fast cars and i like it when they pull on the top end.
