Stock pushrods?
I hear everyone talking about "hardened" pushrods but are the stock ones hardened and just as strong?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I couldn't find an answer.

Pushrod strength covers different things. For straight strength, area is the driver. For bending, outside and inside diameter along with length governs. Since length is the same in your case, then diameters are the driver. Hardening won't change flex or stiffness, only diameter changes will do this. Hardened are good for guide plates, which aren't required for the LS1 unless you go to stud mounted rockers. Bottom line, get the correct length and maximize the outside diameter.
