I'm waiting for the PRC as cast 220. Supposed to be better than the TFS 220. May cost a little more but I'm guessing with better springs, powder metal guides and hopefully smaller chamber it will be worth a few extra $$.

Well for starters, a 2.08 intake valve is too big for a stock cylinder. Second, even if it wasn't you're better off with a set heads that a bit lower cc. Every head is different and performs differently, but according patrick g's write up, his car performed better with a afr 205 head because the intake velocity was higher and made more flow in the low to mid lift range which is where most of your power is made.

I like the shallower valve angle of the PRC 215 heads because they give you lots more piston to valve clearance which means you can run a much bigger cam and still have high static compression. The big 2,08 valves and 15 degree valve angle of the AFR heads are going to limit your P to V clearance once you mill them down.
I'd go PRC 215 heads in this application.

i have afr225's milled to 59cc with stock bottom end, with a 236/242 cam. had to flycut to get PTV and i have the 2.08 intake valves..... are the AFR's the small bore design? should say 1660 stamped on the head i believe. i went with the AFR's because of the thicker deck and option to go bigger cubes in the future. had to run a big bore gasket though fyi

Hey guys,
I have been pricing a bunch of heads recently for the car in my SIG, and I was originally going with PRC stage 2.5s with the 233/239 and the rest of the supporting mods.
I then decided to look into the PRC 215's, and the other offerings like the Trick flow as cast 220's.
But I found a set of Mamo ported AFR 225s with 68cc chamber for a decent price and I was wondering if I would be happy with these on my stock bottom end. I dont plan on doing a stroker anytime soon, no forced induction.
The car is not a daily driver, I will be having it tuned by Patrick G more than likely, and I am going to get a FAST intake someday when budget allows.
Any advice?

I guess what I don't understand is this: The intake runner volume for the AFR 225 heads is, or very close to, 225cc. All the ported 243 heads I've been looking at range from 226cc all way up to 234cc. I see people all the time running AI 226 ported 243 heads on stock cubes and no one says, "that's too big". How is an AFR 225 head too big when all ported 243's have a bigger intake runner? I would say if you're getting a good deal on them, then go for it.
