I sent a message to an eBay seller of the ProComp studs & here is the reply:

Thank you for your inquiry on our Pro Comp LS head studs. To answer your question, if you are unsure on what to torque these to, I would suggest contacting Pro Comp direct, and speaking with a tech. They can be reached at (909)605-1123. If you have anymore questions, feel free to message me back or contact us at (515)-733-2890.

Thanks for shopping with KMJ Performance!

I was somewhat considering them until I saw the recommended torque specs.

Well I went ahead with the ProComp studs. I was quite pleased with the quality & finish of the kit. I installed finger-tight & torqued them to 25-50-75 ft.-lbs. on the 11mm (7/16") studs and then 18-23 ft.-lbs. on the 8mm (5/16") studs using ARP assembly lube & GM MLS gaskets. The only 'issue' I had is that the end of the 8mm studs do not have a hex to aid installation (not sure if ARP's have this or not). I didn't realize that until after I torqued the 11mm studs, otherwise I would have screwed the the 8mm studs in before putting the head on the block. So I locked two 5/16-24NF jam nuts together on the stud and used them to screw it in. Overall I was happy with the installation.

Ya, there weren't any specs., paperwork, nothing in the box LOL. I torqued to 75 on the 11mm studs, basically using the average of the old & new ARP specs.

If I remember correctly...Torque specs are 75% of the yield strength. I wouldnt even dare to torque NON ARP studs more than ARPs specs....90ftlbs and 28ftlbs is alot!

Got a pic of the outer studs? I have a set of these (not in use yet) and when I test-fit them, it seemed there was about 3/4" sticking up past the nut. This was with the (old) head gaskets in place, too.

Here are a couple pics. On the 11mm studs I measured about 3/8" above the nut. On the small studs the nut is almost flush.

I agree. My 1st thought was to go with 70 ft.-lbs. (the original ARP spec.) and I had to convince myself to go to 75 ft.-lbs. I'm glad I did now since they torqued up just fine.

Yeah mine stick up a LONG way, but my heads are milled a ton and thin gaskets

They took 90# just fine. Didnt have any ARP lube left so I should mention that was with 30wt oil.

My mock-up looked like yours and my heads were milled to 59cc. I think that mill is still only 0.050" or so. Less than 1/16" of an inch shouldn't account for that much extra length?

I don't know the numbers for sure, but torque numbers with ARP lube are always lower than plain oil.
