Same here dude. **** cut me real deep as well. But it's one of those things you gotta have. I wish someone else made head studs for the duramax that were reasonably priced.

this thread reminds me of me on the the other ls1 site with OBX headers back in the day. Everyone was all like "their ebay! they will crack! they are junk! they dont fit right!"..... I buried that one big time with my install with glorious pictures and how tos. My first LT header install and it went smoother then i even thought possible. that was 2009 and i still have those on my car with EGR and AIR tubes still intacted and even hooked up still. no cracking or leaking.
So when it comes to these studs and alot of hear say with very little failure rate. and like one mmeber said, ARPs have been around for a minute so a breaking every once in awhile isnt even mentioned and is passed off as "oh must have been a bad one" but the new studs break and its IMEDIATELY reported as garbage and chinese... which brings me to another point how do we know these studs are from china? they could be manufactured right here in usa you know...
just a thought.
I would like to see some stress tests conducted on these fasteners to actually compare they tensil strength, ductil strength, heat tolorances, max torque failure, random quality control check on multi batches. the GM head bolts being the "control" and then ARP and these procomp ebay studs side by side tested. id think this would be interesting

oh well i guess that answers that question lol there isnt too much in this world not made in china anyway. half the electrical component under the dash are made in japan, germany, or china

I just ordered mine a couple days ago. Like others have said, it beats paying the extra $200.00 for ARP. Yeah, they may be made in China, but the way this country is headed with all the tax increases and this bullshit Obama care, who we, hard working tax payers are paying for, I really don't give a ****.

Not to derail the thread, but 2 new additions today... Glock 30SF and a Mossberg 590. Get it while you can!
Like I stated earlioer in the thread, the guy I talked to about them had nothing but praise for them. They have the same yeild strength as the ARP's. I think it's a good deal. The ONLY thing I'm curious about is how their fatigue is, as in, removal and retorquing... if they have a "life" so to speak.

I didnt read the whole thread, just the first couople pages and alot of opinions being thrown around, not something I care to waste my time on reading.
Just here to say I am using the Pro Comp Studs in my new LS2/LS3 combo with Procomp heads and torqued them to 80#, everything is peachy. Quality looked excellent IMO, the only complaint I had was the damn allen heads on the end of each stud! Extremly tight fit for either a metric/standard allen head.
I will say say in my old LS1 I stripped a block thread with new TTY bolts and wasnt amused.

i dont may be its me and i just expect everything to break so i dont care. after being in and around the military i have come to the conclusion that if humans are involved with making somthing, it will fail one thing or another.

Got mine yesterday. The headstuds are 2.50" length and part number PC2465. Can someone tell me if that is the correct length and part number for a 2002 WS6? I'm not sure if I got the right ones. I know there are two different lengths; one for 97-02 and then 03+. Thanks guys.

I have the abad71camaro studs on my FI LQ motor which will be making 800-900 RWHP. No install problems to report and I torqued them to 80# which is the updated ARP spec. I even over-torqued the small studs as the called for ARP torque spec (don't remember what is is) seemed like they were just snugged up. I only have a few hundred miles on the motor so far so I suppose they could still fail. I've heard it said like this: If an ebay stud fails everyone says I told you so, if an ARP stud fails you must have gotten a bad one.

Mine procomp studs have been in for almost 9k miles. Their doing the job. I'm only puting 380 to the wheels and in the next 6 months I'm going to spray it. I'm not worried about them one bit. For the price. Even if I did have to replace them if I pulled them off I think it still be worth it. Ill run them before I put a tty bolt back in.
