Default Raptr cam in and tuned!

Hey guys,

New setup is as follows:

Thunder racing rapTR cam 236/242 .615/.615 on a 111
Fast 92 with TPIS 90mm tb
TFS/TEA ported 215s at a 59cc chamber
Comp trunion kit
LG long tubes
3pm orx and B&B bullets single tips
Vararam intake
CPR racing fuel rails with Hinson line kit
37lb Lucas injectors

The car absolutely rips. Super well mannered on Tyne street and screams from 3000 to 6900 where I set the limiter. Tune isn't finished yet and I am extremely happy with the setup.

When I get dyno graphs I will post them

Got that cam in my 240sx, love it, I used 215 AFR heads, had to flycut pistons, 11:1 CR, and stroked to 383 cubes, put down almost 500hp, love the power from this setup, especially since I set the limiter to 7400,

Is there a way to know if I need to fly cut the pistons before I order the cam? Or is it hard/expensive to do?

How does your setup drive normally? Any bucking or surging?

Can help you out if you give us the cc of your ETP 215 heads. The ETP heads have a different valve angle, which allows for more piston to valve clearance.

I got to give it some rpm's to take off slow, if not it'll throw you around in the seat a little. No surging, got the idle set 900 and it pretty much stays at 900

If they've been milled at all, it should be stamped on the heads.

they usually tell you what they come with, but most people will try to get more compression by milling them(shaving the heads), for example, my afr 215 heads came with a 72cc chamber, but I got it milled to 59cc to bring compression to 11.2:1 and got Pistons with 5cc relief cuts. If you bought a motor from someone and don't what has been done to the heads, then you're going to have to bring it to a engine builder of buy a kit to measure youre combustion chamber, which is just a plate that bolts or straps across the bottom of the head and with a gauged measuring cup, you let some fluid flow into the chamber and then you can measure how much fluid it took to fill your combustion chamber.
