That ends up with a .632" lift and a couple of extra degrees duration.

The TR224 is a good cam, no reason to go along with the crowd and swap cams every week. Up to you of course.

For the price of the rockers, you can buy a nice dry nitrous kit

You can buy another cam for the price of the 1.85 rockers and still have a little $ left over. I think 5-8rwhp with the 1.85 would be about the best you'd see if that. You'll need new springs almost for sure with ~.632 lift. I think I'd just upgrade to a 230+ XE-R or a FMS/Cam Motion cam.

Any cam with .550 lift is a no no with 1.85 rockers. Just picture the stress on your valvetrain.Already you'll probably have to change springs every 15-20K's or so.

Yup. You'd be wise to do so. If nothing else, pull one spring and check its rate at least once a year. If it has decreased, replace the springs. Stock cams are designed so they allow valve springs to last for 100K miles. Performance cams are not.

You might run into some coil bind, piston to valve clearance issues, not to mention some serious spring wear issues. You might want to call comp cams or speed inc if you really want to do that. I know TR doesn't recommend the 1.85 rockers with their cams.

You might look at the 921 springs. Expensive, but very nice and the kit is complete with valve springs, titanium retainers, seals, and seats. They are a nice double spring design.

well on one side you don't want too stiff of a spring, you can run into lifter/prod problems; more lifters if your using hardened prods. With your cam I would just change for another set of 918 or similar.
