Need suggestions on what cam to replace T1

My cam and lifters have to decided to eat each other. The surface of the lobes and rollers has started to break up.

What cam should I get to replace/upgrade the T1?

I have heads that are milled 0.038.

I say get a C1 Hammer cam to replace it. Or if you want to go bigger, a TR224. BTW, why did your T1 self-destruct?

I was also thinking the TR224.

I don't know why it self destructed.

I installed it 40,000 miles ago. Yes, it was lubed well at install.

hmm strange that isnt good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Depends on a couple of things. You have emissions testing there? A need for good driveability? What springs are you running?

i say a 228/224 type cam if you want to buz the motor up there. if not go with a 224 comp xe-r. pretty smooth and lots of power. i run a 230/230 and it rocks! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

No emissions testing for me. I was running MMS springs. 150lbs. seat and 360lbs. open.

gator's 99TA,
I have to be sure that I won't have any piston to valve clearance problems. The 228/224 sounds good but probably would have clearance issues.

I was thinking about the comp 224 .563 112 or maybe a 226/224 .563 112.
