Default Screwed up? Two motors for fathers day

Live in Washington work in Calif. had trailor in Calif. so bought two LS motors? Both from trucks w/ trans and all the acc. One is a 6.0 2001 and the other is a 5.3 2003 both steel blocks. DID I MESS UP? 6,0 is for a 36 Ford one ton and the 5.3 is for a 34 pickup. I have no idea how to ID these engines. Fisrt day on forum....Thanks

The 6.0 block will have "6.0" cast into the front of the block, the 5.3 will have "4.8/5.3" cast into it....look at the top front edge of the passenger side head where the valve cover meets it to get the head casting number

Did you get the computers and harnesses too? I lt1 swap .com has all the write ups to make them into standalone engine management systems

The 5.3 has 706 on head and 6.0 has 317 I am guessing that the casting # is under something? Engines are complete with trans wireing acc. ecu, fues box, gas pedel belts. I have 5000.00 into both and before I get anymore into it just trying to find out if I should? Shame on me for not doing reserch first.

LOL I wouldn't call it throwing $$ away. Maybe just not the best deal out there.

Well the motor looks like it has some low miles with the lack of grime on it at least. Future plans?

Hope it looks good enough to recoupe some money good? I will make a test stand for the 6.0 and by then if 5.3 has not sold I may have gotten over the sting and found a real motor for the 34? It has a long way to go.
