Default Where to buy jpr cam install tool? Anybody have one?

I looked on thunder racing and couldn't find it anymore... If anyone knows where to buy one or has one they would like to sell or let me barrow please let me know. If someone has one they would let me barrow I would pay shipping both ways

Why not just use a couple of the water pump bolts?

I have heard you can use two welding rods or two 1/4 inch dowel rods.

The JPR cam tool is the tool used to hold the lifters up....

Just go to Lowes or wherever and get 2 sections of 5/16 rod or wooden dowel, about 20" long each.

thanks for the suggestions. Right now I'd rather buy one off somebody or barrow one. Than when I'm finished I can just return it or sell what I bought it for... If I can't find one soon enuf than I will look for the 5/16 wooden dowel

Just buy the wooden dowels. I had the JPR rods a few years ago and ended up grinding 1 down to fit the block.

Link didn't show anything for me for some reason. Just use the wooden dowels. I used them and they worked perfectly. Not to mention, CHEAP

Ive successfully done two cam swaps with 5/16 dowels I picked up at wal mart. Works like a charm.

Save your money, mine wasn't worth a damn. I ended up using pen magnets.

Use 3 water pump bolts and then put a long 3/8 extension in the middle and tape it all together for a poor man cam tool!

I used 5/16" wooden dowels from Lowes, cost me $1.84 much better than the $1xx they want for that tool.

I just went and picked up 4 of them from wallmart lol. I was taking them out one by one and rolling them on the floor of walmart and I noticed most of them were pretty badly bent! Were the ones you bought perfectly straight? I picked out the 4 straightest ones I could find, but they are still not 100% straight
