So I just ordered a set of YT 6645 for my TFS 215 heads and now I have been reading on this and the corvette forum about more and more of these rockers breaking. WTF.. I dunno anymore.. what is fail safe beyond spending big bucks on a jesel setup when you need a full roller thats light at the valve tip?

A fellow Winnipegger!
The stock rockers seem to be the best - especially with a cam with less than .625" lift. The crappy thing is if your TFS heads have bronze valve guides, they will wear FAST if using the oem rockers.
If you are set on using the TFS heads, get the guides changed to factory GM style guide material, and you should be set.

Thanks pal. Im way beyond that basic info now. Knew that months ago. lol.. Thanks anyway. Im researching rockers other than the avg. run of the mill HS or YT that can actually handle heavier open spring pressures.

Biggest thing the trunion upgrade does is eliminate the needle bearings. So in the event the rocker fails, needles don't go through your motor. Needle bearings are sorta like AIDS for your motor. Might not kill it initially, but it will die in time. Stock rockers have been failing because people are using a much stiffer spring these days such as the PRC .650 or .675, and using higher lift cams. This eventually will break the tip off and what is causing a lot of failure. THe comp or Jesel are great choices for aftermarket. Yella terra or Skorpion are...ehhh.

also what JESSEL ROCKERS would you recommend?

I was at Texas Speed today ordering a top end and when I asked them about a rocker they said nothing beats a stocker with a trunion upgrade. (for what I'm trying to do) I'm sure a 1000$ set of jessels would be just fine but I got upgraded rockers for 1/3 of that

Stockers will hold for a little while but they are not made to, even with a trunion upgrade. It doesn't strengthen the entire rocker. The tip is what is most prone to breakage with today's aggressive cam lobes, spring opening pressure, etc. Try a search on broken rockers and make the decision yourself.
