Can I just put a new set of rings in it and call it a day? it is already getting a new cam, lifters, springs, cam bearings, and lifters. still kicking around idea of milling the 317 heads.

I'm seeing a few 100k LS motors puking lifters, some score the cam and you wouldn't know it until pulling the cam, one lost the roller(dead cyl., that one you could notice
)
