New LQ4 plan
A couple questions here I want a cam that runs good from 3000-6500 and even though this rig is just a toy/weekend hot rod I would like to keep it streetable my goal is the 400 horse mark but, every pony i can squeeze out over that is awesome. If there is cam that I can run and dial back the amount i deck my head and avoid fly cutting that is a possibility
Heads are out of the budget for right now I tried every thing to try to stretch the budget for some head sand it just cant happen
Let me know what looks good and sounds like a bad idea also what kind of compression ratio would I be looking at with the heads decked .040
Thanks Guys
EDIT: This is going in a back halved tube chassis S10 that weighs about 2800 pounds ready to race

Exampl: I've got an LQ4 in my TranAm. I'm putting 706 (4.8-5.3) heads that flow intake 295 cfm @ .600. 2.02 1.5 valves and the cam will be 232-238 .598-.598 @ 113+5 for use with nitrous. If I didn't have the heads already I would just have a cam ground for the stock engine.
I hope it all works like plan!! Good luck
