i know the lunati uses 4340, but what material does eagle and callies crank use?

Callies is also 4340. I think the Eagle is 5130, but may be wrong on that one.

Doesn't leave much room for the pin up in the piston especially with a minimum of a 6.25" rod.

461ci LS1 with a 4.155" bore Darton block though.

Wonder what it would take for them to look into developing a tall deck LS1 block? While they're at it they could cast in some 4.155" capable liners for us also. I'd have a 454ci SUPER STROKER in a heartbeat if there was just a little more deck height and a full proof way to get a 4.125"+ bore.

Maybe Eagle knows something there not telling by making a 4.25" crank that needs "at least" 6.25" rods.

I just sent World Products a message asking about a tall deck/big bore block for the LS1 and what type of interest would need to be shown to get one made. I'll post back when I hear something.

MTI just put in a 455 ls1 in a goat.

i dont know the bore or stroke sizes yet.
